I am Assistant Professor in Ethics at VU Amsterdam and was previously a Lecturer in Political Philosophy at the University of Bayreuth.

My current research primarily focuses on the ethics of market-based interactions; in particular on exploitation, fraud, and similar forms of transaction. This work is supported by a VENI grant from the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO). I have also written on love, metaethics, and Kant. You can find links to my publications in my CV.

I teach courses in the PPE Programme at the VU’s JS Mill College where I am also the programme coordinator for Philosophy and interdisciplinary courses. My office hours are by appointment. You can email me at b.r.ferguson@vu.nl.
